Thailand's Bright Romance Foundation, in alliance with a coalition of local churches, hosted the "New Life: Turning Over a New Life" festival at Central Pattaya Beach on July 4. Co-organized alongside the Pattaya City Government, the evangelistic event drew thousands of attendees.
Organizers erected a massive stage along the shoreline, where young worship leaders led the gathering in praise and worship. The festival also featured personal testimonies and the preaching of gospel messages. In a dramatic climax, people arriving from all across Thailand underwent immediate baptism in the ocean, publicly declaring Jesus Christ as the Lord of their lives.
Pattaya city officials stated that the event aimed to convey messages of hope, renewal, and fellowship, while welcoming people from all backgrounds to participate.
Situated within a predominantly Buddhist nation, Pattaya has long been widely notorious for its bustling and hedonistic nightlife. Holding a public mass baptism on a famous coastline that attracts millions of tourists annually carried profound significance for local Christians. Organizers noted that the event stood as a testament to the Gospel’s continuous power to transcend geographical and cultural boundaries to reach all nations and peoples.
