André and Jenny Roebert, co-founders of the global Faith Broadcasting Network, have stepped down from on-air hosting duties after Jenny Roebert filed for divorce following 34 years of marriage.
The network's independent board of directors recommended on July 13 that both founders take an immediate leave of absence from television hosting due to ongoing separation and marital issues, according to a board statement asking global viewers for prayer.
Jenny Roebert, 54, filed a petition to dissolve the marriage on June 30 in the Collier County Circuit Court in Florida, stating the marriage was "irretrievably broken" and that her decision aligned with "biblical principles." The couple, who married on March 14, 1992, separated on May 20.
In a video and personal statement released following the board's announcement, Jenny Roebert said that while she initially wished to maintain privacy, recent public comments by her husband and the board's recommendation prompted her to speak out.
"Over the past two years, and particularly over the last 18 months, my children and I have suffered severe harm," she stated.
She noted that while she and her three adult children—who also work in Christian ministry—have chosen forgiveness, the ongoing impact of these events compelled her to pursue legal dissolution.
"I know this comes as a shock to many, and it breaks my heart to speak these words," she added. "But I want everyone to know that the Lord has led me and my children into a new season, allowing us to move forward and walk in the path He has prepared for us."
Court documents indicate the couple holds substantial marital assets, including multiple Florida corporate entities, religious ministries, and hotel and resort properties in South Africa.
In her filing, Jenny Roebert requested more than 50% of the couple's net marital assets during equitable distribution. She also requested an injunction to restrict André Roebert, 57, from managing certain corporate holdings, citing concerns that he might dissipate, transfer, or encumber business assets.
Co-founded in 2002 in East London, South Africa, Faith Broadcasting Network—which broadcasts under the brand MyFaithTV—reaches an estimated audience footprint of over 264 million viewers across Africa, the United Kingdom, and the United States via satellite, cable, and streaming platforms.
The future governance of the network and the couple's long-term involvement in the television ministry remain under review by the board of directors and the court.
