The Texas House passed a bill this morning that will make late-term abortions illegal in Texas if successfully passed in the Senate. The bill will also require that abortion clinics raise health care standards to better protect women’s health.

Dr. Tony Evans to Host Men and Women’s Conferences in July
Dr. Tony Evans will host a conference for men entitled “No More Excuses!” on Saturday, and will later host “Desperate for Jesus,” for women on July 27. The well-known Dallas pastor will team up with former Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis, Jr. and musician Kirk Franklin for the men’s session. Evans and his wife, Lois, will also speak alongside Christian author Priscilla Shirer and singer Crystal Lewis two weeks later for the women’s conference.

Pro-life proponents rallied at the Texas Capitol in Austin on Monday evening, testifying to the horrors of abortion and praying for the massacre of babies in America to end - among speakers in support of life were former Governor of Arkansas Mike Huckabee, Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott, Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst, Pastor Robert Jeffress from First Baptist Church in Dallas, and Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar from the television show "19 Kids & Counting."
