  Verizon has just dropped a software update to the Google co-branded Nexus 7 tablet. The update will bump the device up to the new Android 5.1.1 Lollipop version and will included a much needed for the controversial StageFright vulnerability.

  Verizon Wireless is currently distributing the latest Android version to the flagship models Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, as well as last year’s Galaxy Tab 4 10.1. Aside from bumping these devices up to the Android 5.1.1 build, it will also address a recent bug called StageFright.
